MELBOURNE, Fla. (January 10, 2025) – The 17th-ranked Rollins men's swimming team came up short on Friday at Florida Tech, falling by a close score of 141-121.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The team of Luke Dinges, William Slowey, Evan McInerny, and Trey Carter won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:32.98 to open the day.
- Keanu Garnier-Chan took second in the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:10.58, followed closely by teammate Andrew Boles in third in 10:16.66.
- Seth Basinger finished third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.04), while Jaswanth Yannam was second in the 100-yard backstroke (53.65).
- Slowey picked up the first individual event win with a 57.06 in the 100-yard breaststroke, narrowly besting runner-up Corbin Songer (58.06).
- Dinges made it two wins in a row for the Tars with a 1:53.36 in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Carter touched the wall third in the 50-yard freestyle (21.90), while Ben Robertson placed third in the 100-yard freestyle (48.19).
- Murphy earned a third-place result with a 1:57.01 in the 200-yard backstroke, followed by a win for McInerny in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.95).
- Basinger was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle (4:46.23), while McInerny grabbed another victory with a 49.19 in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Slowey closed out the individual events with a second-place time of 1:55.05 in the 200-yard individual medley.
- The quartet of Carter, Michael Tucker, Dinges, and Slowey capped the day with a winning time of a 1:25.33 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Tars will return to action tomorrow at NAIA No. 2 St. Thomas. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. in Miami Gardens.
