GAINESVILLE, Ga. (May 11, 2024) – Nicholas Diebel wrapped up play as an individual at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Saturday, finishing tied for 71st out of 108 competitors at the event. The tournament was held at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.

The first round was scheduled for Thursday, May 9, but inclement weather washed out the entire day, forcing everyone to play a continuous 36 holes with a shotgun start on Friday, May 10. Diebel bounced back from a 10-over 82 in the first round to card a one-under 71 in the second round, finishing the day at +9.
On Saturday, Diebel posted a three-over 39 on the front nine before closing out the tournament with a two-under 34 on the back, finishing the day with a one-over 73 and the tournament with a 10-over 226.
North Georgia won the tournament at -9, followed by Coker (+1), Lee (+9), West Florida (+9), and Wingate (+10), all of whom will advance to the NCAA II Championship at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission as part of the 2024 NCAA II Spring Sports Festival.
North Georgia's Jack Vajda was the individual medalist at -8, followed by Nova Southeastern's Joseba Torres (-7) and Florida Southern's Tyler Mistretta (-6), both of whom will also advance to the NCAA II Championship as individuals.
