LARGO, Fla. (April 16, 2024) – The Rollins women's golf team finished in fifth place at the Sunshine State Conference Championship held at the Bayou Club in Largo, which concluded on Tuesday. Rollins shot 309-303-302=914 at the event to finish one stroke behind Lynn and three strokes ahead of Barry.

Megan Docherty (75-74-76) and
Carla Alvarez Perez (81-71-73) finished tied for 10th with a 225s, while
Elizabeth Kondal tied for 20th with a 230 (75-75-80). Bernardita Villalba carded a 239 (78-83-78) to tie for 35th, followed by
Olivia Tamburlini who tied for 43rd (81-88-75=244).
Saint Leo won the tournament with an 897 (307-298-292), followed by Nova Southeastern (304-305-295=904) in second, with Florida Southern (301-312-299=912) rounding out the top three.
Saint Leo's Maya Cote was the individual medalist with a 1-under 215 (71-72-72), while Tampa's Ana Maria Jimenez Rios was second with a 218 (74-71-73) and NSU's Maia Samuelsson took third with a 220 (74-74-72).

The Tars will likely be selected as one of the 12 teams to compete at the NCAA South Regional, which will take place May 6-8 at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee. Selections will be announced by the NCAA on April 29.
