'EWA BEACH, Hawaii (Feb. 6, 2023) – The Rollins women's golf team shot a 297 in Tuesday's final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii at the Hoakalei Country Club in 'Ewa Beach, Hawaii. The Tars slid up the leaderboard one spot with a tournament total of 905 (307-301-297), finishing one stroke ahead of Georgetown (303-302-301=906) and Middle Tennessee (319-301-286=906).
Katharina Hesse fired a two-under 70 to move up to ninth place with a 54-hole total of 223 (78-75-70), while
Carla Alvarez Perez finished tied for 17th with a 226 (74-79-73).
Berni Villalba ended up tied for 23rd (75-76-77=228), while
Elizabeth Kondal was tied for 44th (84-73-77=234) and
Tove Rosengren wound up 47th (80-77-79=236).
Playing as individuals,
Liza Eubanks tied for 51st (79-86-76=241), Oliva Tamburlini tied for 56th (84-83-77=244), and
Riley Hammericksen finished 66th (88-87-80=255).
Sacramento State took the team title, finishing with an 18-over 882 (297-298-287), with UNC Wilimington placing second (294-298-297=889) and Long Beach State finishing third (297-296-297=890).
Long Beach State teammates Angelina Kim (71-70-77) and Hannah Ko (74-76-68) finished tied for first with two-over 218s, with Kim finishing as the medalist after winning a two-hole playoff with Ko. UNCW teammates Victory Levy (72-74-73) and Phu Khine (71-75-73) tied for third with identical three-over 219s.

The Tars will return to the mainland United States to host the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational at Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando next week. The first two rounds are scheduled for Monday, March 13, with the final round slated for Tuesday, March 14.
