EATONTON, Ga. (March 21, 2023) – The Rollins men's golf team concluded the 36-hole Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College & State on Tuesday at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla in Eatonton, Georgia. The tournament was shorted to 36 holes and the start of the first round delayed until noon on Monday due to frost on the course. The Tars shot a 295 on the final day to finish 13th.
Nicholas Diebel finished tied for 25th with a 145 (73-72), while
Warut Wongrungroj ended up tied for 35th with a 147 (73-74).
Jacob Hair was one stroke back in a tie for 41st with a 148 (74-75), with
Franco Misdorp (76-76) and
Drew Lanier (77-75) winding up tied for 57th with identical 152s.
Georgia Southwestern won the event with a four-over 564 (288-276), followed by West Florida (285-282=567) and North Georgia (280-289=569).
A.J. Ewart of Barry was the individual medalist with a five-under 135 (70-65), finishing one shot ahead of Clay Tucker of Florida Southern who posted a 136 (69-67). Jordan Logue of Mississippi College and Hughes Threlkeld of North Georgia both shot 138 (69-69) to tie for third.
