SPARKS, Md. (Jan. 5, 2023) – The Tars will start the year ranked at No. 19 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Preseason Poll, which was released yesterday by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Tampa, the defending national champion, is No. 1 in the poll, followed by Mercy, Wingate, Mercyhurst, and Adelphi in the top five.
Florida Tech slots in at No. 15, while Florida Southern sits at No. 17, two spots ahead of the Tars, who round out the four Sunshine State Conference squads listed among the top 20.
Rollins ended the 2022 season at 12-3, falling to Florida Southern in overtime in the conference semifinals. The Tars will be tested early in the 2023 campaign, as they open the season at No. 6 Limestone on Feb. 18 and face No. 18 Newberry on Feb. 26.
The Tars will kick off the home portion of the 2023 schedule when they host Flagler on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m.
