BOCA RATON, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2023) – The Rollins men's swimming team won its second straight meet and fourth of the year on Saturday, defeating Lynn by a score of 169-93. The Tars are now 4-7 in dual meets this year, while the Fighting Knights drop to 2-10.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins got started with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, with Luke Dinges, Tully Njoroge, Cruse Sweeney, and William Slowey clocking a winning time of 1:34.17.
- Chance Ricca took first place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:38.02.
- Trey Carter was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:41.94.
- Dinges posted a second-place time of 52.00 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Njoroge earned his second win of the day with a first-place time of 56.55 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Michael Tucker made it two straight wins for the Tars as he won the 200-yard butterfly in 1:56.14.
- Slowey extended the win streak to three events with a winning time of 21.34 in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Cameron Dolly stopped the clock in 47.21 to place second in the 100-yard freestyle.
- Skylar Murphy won the 200-yard backstroke in 1:54.07.
- Njoroge got his third win of the meet when he clocked a 2:02.18 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Ricca placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:40.21.
- Dinges grabbed a runner-up finish in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a 51.69.
- Connor Xu gave Rollins a win in the final individual event, clocking a 1:54.36 in the 200-yard individual medley.
- The Tars capped the day with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with the quartet of Dinges, Dolly, Ricca, and Slowey pacing the field in 3:06.36.

The Tars will return to the pool next Saturday when they host Florida Tech on Senior Day at the Alfond Swimming Pool. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
