LAKELAND, Fla. (February 8, 2022) – Rollins moved up one spot, into a tie for 11
th, to close out the Matlock Invitational, the Tars first competition of the spring. Will Koepke carded an even par, 72, on the final round to lead the Tars for the tournament.

Rollins added a final round score of 300 to rounds of 304 and 299 on the opening 36 holes, giving them a total of 903 for the event. Rollins ended the event even with Lynn in the standings.

Barry earned the overall win, shooting a 290 on the last day, for a 54 hole total of 847. The Bucs were three shots clear of the hosts, Florida Southern, in second. Nova Southeastern earned bronze medal position with the low round of the day, a 282. While West Florida and Columbus State rounded out the top five.

Will Koepke birdied his final hole of the event, the par five 12
th hole, to earn his even par score, and jump him 17 spots on the leaderboard, into a tie for 31
st overall.Â
Wigo Weisner registered a final round 81, and a 228 over the course of the event, good for 51
st place.Â
Danny Taggart also tallied an even par day, including an eagle on the par five second hole, as he rose 13 places on the leaderboard to end at 13 over, in 53
rd position.Â
Rodrigo Rodas with scores of 76, 76, and 78, and
Jacob Hair, who registered 77, 77, and 78 complete the Tars lineup.

AJ Ewart of Barry held his day one lead to capture medalist honors by five strokes. Elias Haavisto jumped two spots to earn second position. Florida Southern's Sam Rogers shot the day's low round, a five under, 67, to move up 16 spots into a tie for third with Nova Southeastern's Michael Hay. Palm Beach Atlantic's Andrew Riley rounded out the top five.

The Tars head north to Georgia for the Southeastern Intercollegiate, hosted by Valdosta State. Rollins will tee off from Kinderlou Forest Golf Club for 36 holes on Monday, March 14.
