ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2022) – The Rollins men's golf team posted a pair of sub-290 team scores on Monday at Rio Pinar Country Club to lead the annual McDonough Cup by eight strokes. The Tars shot a 279 in round one and a 288 in round two for a total score of 567 on the day.
Warut Wongrungroj sits atop the individual leaderboard after carding an eight-under 64-72=136, nearly equaling the course record of 62 in his first round. Drew Lanier is just one stroke back in second with a 67-70=137, and
Rodrigo Rodas is tied for 16th with a 145 (75-70).
Wigo Weisner shot a 150 (73-77) to tie for 40th and
Connor Jones is 47th with a 151 (75-76) to round out the Tars' team.
Rollins also entered a number of individuals, led by a pair of 144s from
Nicholas Diebel (75-69) and
Danny Taggart (74-70), which has them tied for 10th.
Jacob Hair is tied for 22nd with a 75-72=147, and Axel Einarsson is tied for 27th with a 148 (77-71).

Flagler is in second place, eight shots back of Rollins with a 575 (288-287), followed by Embry-Riddle in third (290-287=577). Palm Beach Atlantic (295-286=581) and Le Moyne (291-291=582) round out the top five.
Flagler's Felix Villamil is third, behind Rollins' Wongrungroj and Lanier, shooting a four-under 140 (73-67) on Monday. His teammate, Franco Piovano, and Le Moyne's Peter Hatton are each tied for fourth with identical 71-70=141s after 36 holes.
