FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Oct. 15, 2022) – The 25th-ranked Rollins men's swimming team took on 11th-ranked Nova Southeastern on the road on Saturday, falling to the Sharks, 170.5-91.5. The Tars now stand at 0-2 in dual meets while the Sharks are 1-1
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tully Njoroge grabbed the day's first win, clocking in a time of 58.13 in the 100-yard breaststroke, while Patrick Lester took third (59.40) in the same race.
- William Slowey tied for first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.12, as teammate Trey Carter finished third in 21.95.
- The Tars swept the top three positions in the 200-yard breaststroke, with Njoroge winning it in 2:07.65, followed by Slowey in second (2:09.07) and Connor Xu in third (2:12.82).
- The team of Skylar Murphy, Njoroge, Luke Dinges, and Carter placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:35.16.
- Cameron Dolly earned a third-place result with a time of 1:46.92 in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Murphy took second in the 100-yard backstroke in 53.27.
- Dinges clocked a second-place time of 1:56.65 in the 200-yard butterfly and took third in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.56.
- Slowey finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.20.
- Carter grabbed a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:48.06.
- Slowey, Dolly, Dinges, and Carter combined for a second-place result in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:10.57.

The Tars will head to Tampa on Friday, Oct. 21, to take on No. 5 Tampa in a dual meet scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
