MELBOURNE, Fla. (January 31, 2022) – Brooks Cluxton has been named the Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for his performances over the past week. This is his first conference award of the season and the second of his career.
Cluxton pulled down 25 rebounds (12.5/game) and blocked a pair of shots in Rollins' two victories this week. He also scored 33 points and dished out 13 assists. The graduate student scored a game-high 25 points (9-of-12 FGs) and grabbed a game-high 11 boards while handing out a game-high six assists in an 89-82 upset win at No. 23 Embry-Riddle on Wednesday. He followed that up by collecting a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points and a game-high seven assists in a 67-65 win at Florida Tech on Saturday.
Cluxon and the Rollins men's basketball team return home on Wednesday, Feb. 2 to host Florida Southern at 7:30 p.m. inside Warden Arena.
