Nze and Figueroa Named All-SSC

Senior guards were the top two scorers for Rollins this season

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 4, 2026) - The Sunshine State Conference announced their all-conference awards on Wednesday afternoon. Among the honorees were a pair of Rollins seniors, Jah Nze and Omar Figueroa

Nze claimed a spot as a second team guard following his impressive season with the Tars. He was the only player to start all 29 games for Rollins, leading the team with 881 minutes. He also led the team in scoring with 518 points (17.9 per game). Nze shot 45% from the field, 36% from three-point range, and 77% from the free throw line. He snagged 97 rebounds, dished out 73 assists, and tied for the team lead in steals with 44. 

Nze had the best individual scoring performance of the year with 31 points against Barry on January 3rd. He also knocked down six threes versus Hawaii Hilo in Las Vegas on December 20. He ranked 2nd in the SSC in made free throws (125), 6th in scoring, 8th in minutes, and 10th in three-pointers made (67).

Figueroa was named to the third team as a guard. He missed a couple of games due to injury, but still put up strong numbers in his 27 appearances. He played 837 minutes (31.0 per game, led the team) while shooting 46.9% from the field, 41.1% from the three-point line, and 79% on free throws. Omar ranked second on the team in scoring (16.3 per game), led the team in assists with 77, and tied for the team lead in steals with 44. 

Omar scored a season-high 28 points against Embry-Riddle on January 21. He also had an eleven rebound game against Saint Leo on January 24, and a seven assist game versus Florida Tech on February 4. Figueroa was 4th in the SSC in 3P%, 6th in steals, and 9th in FG%.
