SET UP:
Rollins has had to wait a week longer than expected to take the field, but the Tars are now set to return to action with a pair of Sunshine State Conference games.  Rollins will open the year on the road at Florida Tech, before returning to the friendly confines of Barker Family Stadium for the home opener against Saint Leo.

Rollins (0-0, 0-0 SSC):
Rollins garnered votes in the first iterations of the USILA and the Nike/US Lacrosse Polls, but have idly fallen out of the rankings.   James Cowan was named a Preseason Honorable Mention All-American short stick defensive midfielder.  He, and returners Charlie Rask and Justin Isenhour, will look to lead the defensive unit.  On attack Rollins brings back 2019 All-SSC honoree Ryan Dunn and an experienced midfield unit that includes letter winners Brandon Carlin, Blake Buell, and Grant Long.

Florida Tech (0-2, 0-2 SSC):
The Panthers remain winless, falling in a pair of tight contests, 17-16 against Lynn, and 18-15 against Saint Leo.  Chandler Hake is the offensive linchpin for Florida Tech.  The sophomore has tallied team bests in goals, seven, assists, three, and points, 10.  Vincent Palermo has seen the majority of the action in cage for the Panthers, but has been spelled by Jake Hahn and Shane Carson.

Saint Leo (1-2, 1-1 SSC):
The Lions are still receiving votes in the latest USILA Poll.  Saint Leo picked up their first victory of the year last time out, with a 18-15 in over the Florida Tech Panthers.  The Lions balanced attack is led by Matt Shand and his five points.  However, ten Lions have tallied multiple points in their first two games.  Gunnar Luckoski was named the SSC Defensive Player of the Week following a 15 save performance against Florida Tech.

NEXT:
The Tars have scheduled a make-up date for what was originally set as their season opener against the Tampa Spartans.  Faceoff is now set for Wednesday, April 7, at 8 p.m.
