  • (if necessary) Sunday, November 14, TBD vs. Florida Tech/Palm Beach Atlantic | TBD

  • SET UP
  • The Tars came from behind to defeat the Tampa Spartans in the first round of the Sunshine State Conference Quarterfinals. Rollins now prepares for a trip to the top-seeded Embry-Riddle Eagles, with a berth in the championship game on the line. The winner of the semifinal matchup will advance to take on the winner of the other semifinal between Florida Tech and Palm Beach Atlantic. Based on seeding, should Rollins win they will travel to Palm Beach Atlantic, or host Florida Tech.

  • Rollins (8-6-3, 5-2-3 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • Rollins scored three straight goals, to dig out of a 2-0 hole, and keep their season alive. Bailey Tran tallied the first for the Tars before Tayla Duffy equalized in the second half and scored the winner in the second overtime period. Duffy leads the team in goals, with eight, and points 19. Chynna McGirt has scored six goals for Rollins, while Vilja Aaltonen leads Rollins with four assists. • Embry-Riddle (9-3-2, 7-2-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Eagles earned a first round bye in the SSC Tournament by capturing the conference's regular season crown. Embry-Riddle enters the post season on a seven game unbeaten streak and a four game winning streak. Their balanced attack has five player with double digit points this season. Grace Foyer leads the team with five goals. Isabelle Navren has dished out a team high seven assists, contributing to her team best 13 points. •
  • SCHEDULE
  • Tuesday, November 9, 7:00 pm at Eckerd | St. Petersburg, Fla.
  • Saturday, November 13, 7:00 pm at Saint Leo | Saint Leo, Fla.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars will hit the road for the final four games of the season. On Tuesday evening, Rollins will head west to St. Petersburg to take on the Eckerd Tritons, who they lost to on October 9. Then on Saturday, the Tars will head to Saint Leo as they try to avenge their 3-1 loss that came at the hands of the Lions on October 8.

  • Rollins (7-19, 2-14 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars split a pair of conference games last week, taking the match against Florida Tech and falling to #17 Nova Southeastern. Andie Baldridge continues to play inspired ball, leading the team with 25 kills over the two games. Freshman Lana Gerard added 22 kills of her own, as well as seven service aces. Her 47 aces on the season are the most in the Sunshine State Conference. Defensively, Rollins has played well, holding the Panthers and Sharks to a combined .163 attack percentage with 17 blocks in the two matches.

  • Eckerd (16-11, 7-9 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tritons posted a 2-1 record last week, with wins against Barry and Florida Tech and a loss to Saint Leo. Eckerd is agressive on offense, ranking in the Top 5 of the conference in both kills and attack percentage. Anna Jungjohann is striking at an impressive .385 clip, and is also one of only five athletes in the SSC with more than 100 blocks on the season. No one in the conference has more assists than reigning SSC Setter of the Week Krysten Garrison, who has totaled 869 on the year.

  • Saint Leo (11-16, 5-11 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lions are a conundrum of a team. They are second in the conference in total kills (1271), but they have the third-lowest attack percentage at .183. One of the reasons for their low efficiency rate is allowing opponents to block 2.35 times per set, easily the highest mark in conference. Brooke Turner is the leading attacker with 237 kills, while Anna Garrett is 4th in the SSC with 709 assists. The Lions do not have an individual player who ranks in the Top 15 of the conference in blocks.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, November 12, 4:30 PM vs. Benedict College | Winter Park, Fla.
  • Saturday, November 13, 4:30 pm vs. Auburn Motgomery | Winter Park, Fla.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars will open their 2021-22 campaign with a jam-packed weekend of hoops. There will be two games per day at the Alfond Sports Center. On Friday, November 12, the Florida Tech Panthers will face off agianst the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks. Rollins will follow with a matchup against the Benedict Tigers. On Saturday, the opponents will swap, with Tech facing Benedict at 2:00 pm, followed by Rollins vs Auburn Montgomery at 4:30. All games are free admission.

  • Rollins (0-0, 0-0 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars only played one game last spring, a road matchup against Florida Southern. Senior guard Hutton Yenor put together a monster stat line in the game, posting a career-high 32 points on 46.2% shooting with six three-pointers. He also added five rebounds and three assists. Speaking of assists, Kyle Marion (who scored 20 with three dimes in the Southern game) will operate as the point guard on offense. Down low, look for Brooks Cluxton to dominate the boards and play stifling defense against opposing big men. Cluxton has 31 blocks and 28 steals in his 30 career games in the blue and gold.

  • Benedict (0-0, 0-0 SIAC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tigers found success during their abbreviated season last spring, finishing on a six-game winning streak and a 9-1 overall record. To warm-up for this weekend, Benedict faced South Carolina in a battle of Columbia-based colleges. The Tigers fell 101-76, but had a number of standout performances. Senior forward Tajh Green finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 16 points and 9 rebounds. He averaged 17 and 10 last season. Benedict also received double-digit scoring efforts from Malachi McCoy, Brandon Smith, and Timothy Bing.

  • Auburn Montgomery (0-0, 0-0 GSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Warhawks also faced a D-1 opponent in exhibition, facing off agianst UAB on November 1. They trailed by five at halftime, but ended up losing by a final of 101-70. Senior guard Isaiah Hart, a four-year starter at Loyola-Maryland, has the green light on every possession. He scored 21 points on 19 shots to lead the Warhawks in their exhibition. Jeremiah Bozeman was the only other player in double digits with 18 points. He also had ten rebounds. The Warhawks only attempted 13 shots from beyond the arc, so look for them to work the ball down low against the Tars' zone defense.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, November 12, 4:00 PM vs. Christian Brothers | Daytona Beach, Fla.
  • Saturday, November 13, 4:00 PM vs. Spring Hill | Daytona Beach, Fla.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins will play in the Bahama House Shootout in Daytona, hosted by Embry-Riddle. The two SSC foes will not face each other (that happens on December 1), but they will play the same two out of state opponents over the weekend.

  • Rollins | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars only saw action in two games last season, both against Palm Beach Atlantic. In addition to the lack of court time, they also lost three senior starters, leaving Rollins relatively inexperienced. Still, there is talent up and down the roster that includes five freshman. The Tars played three exhibition games to warm up, and had 13 different players log minutes. Asia Newsome, a senior, will look to score form all areas on the court. Kymora Westerfield and Erin Leigh will handle the backcourt duties, while Silvia Lasarte Garcia and Niya Pluviose hold down the action near the rim.

  • Christian Brothers | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Buccaneers posted a 5-9 record last season, playing exclusively against fellow GSC opponents. To warm up for 2021, they scrimmaged D-1 Tennessee Tech on October 28, falling 86-56. Junior guard Yaya Coleman led the CBU attack with a double-double consisting of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jeremia Montgomery and Braylee McMath were the only others to reach double digits in scoring. As a team, the Bucs shot 35.9% from the field, 20.8% from three, and 65% from the line.

  • Spring Hill | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Badgers were able to see the court eight times last season, finishing 3-5. They've been busy this fall with a pair of D-1 exhibitions against South Alabama and UAB. They allowed 85 points in each loss. Tyashia Bostick wasn't shy getting her shots up, going 13-36 in the two games for a total of 35 points. She was helped by senior center Ariel Thompson, who scored 26 points and secured 12 rebounds while shooting 67% from the floor. The Badgers aren't afraid to launch from distance, as they shot 37 attempts from three-point range, making eight.
