I hope this communication finds you well and preparing for the end of the semester and finals. Since late spring, the Sunshine State Conference and campus administrators have been working diligently to develop plans for a safe return to competition. Ultimately, we have developed plans to play a conference schedule in many sports and we will seek meaningful competition for the other sports. I am sure these are not the seasons anyone expected, but we do value the competitive experience and will provide the best experience possible.Â
Â
As we have seen Covid's effect on competitive schedules nationally, I am thankful that we will compete, even in a limited number of contests. We are committed to your health and safety and the overall health of our campus. Please know how much I appreciate your efforts on and off the field. I am constantly impressed by your grit and resiliency and I know it will be apparent in how we move forward. I am hopeful we can finish the semester strong, make good choices over the holidays, and come back healthy and ready to go in Spring of 2021! We will have more information for you about the spring schedules once it becomes available in January. Â
Â
Enjoy the holidays with your family and I look forward to 2021.
