Three Members Join Rollins Sports Hall of Fame

Erica Pagliarulo, Lee Stroever, and Jim Poling were inducted on Thursday evening

WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 26, 2026) - The Rollins Athletic Department welcomed the three newest members of the Sports Hall of Fame in a ceremony held at the Alfond Inn on Thursday evening. Erica Pagliarulo '18 (women's lacrosse), Lee Stroever '03 (men's golf), and Jim Poling (men's tennis) became the 265th, 266th, and 267th members of the exclusive club.

Pagliarulo was a four-year standout and trailblazer for the women's lacrosse program. From her first collegiate game that saw her score four goals against St. Andrews in 2010, to a two-goal effort as a senior in the National semifinal versus Limestone in 2013, Erica was one of the top offensive threats not just in program history, but the entire country. By the time she hung up the #5 jersey, she had accumulated 164 goals, 33 assists, 197 points, and 187 draw controls. She still sits in the top 5 in program history in goals, points, and draw controls. Her efforts were recognized on a national level, with awards that included the 2010 D-II All-Rookie team, three IWLCA All-South Region selections, and two IWLCA first team All-American selections in 2012 and 2013.

Stroever joined the Tars in 2001 and helped Rollins to their most successful era in men's golf history. As a freshman in 2000, the the team fell just short of a trip to the National Championship when they fell in a playoff hole at in the South Regional at Mission Inn Resort in Florida. In 2001, Stroever was recognized with a first team All-American selection. In 2002, the Tars made up for their previous shortcomings, capturing the national title as Mission Inn, coming back from eleven shots down through two rounds to win the championship. Stroever had another All-American season that year. Then, in 2003, the Tars were the national runner-up (as well as SSC champions) as Stroever was once again recognized as a first team All-American.

Poling was the head coach of Rollins men's tennis from 1993-94 though 2001-02. During that time, the Tars saw incredible success that included four trips to the national semifinal. After taking third in 1994, third in 1995, and second in 1996, Rollins was finally able to capture the National Championship in 2001. That year, Poling was named the ITA National Coach of the Year. He also added SSC Coach of the year accolades in 2001 and 2002. Across his nine seasons in Winter Park, Poling coached a total of 17 All-Americans and three SSC Players of the Year. Jim sadly passed away in the summer of 2024, and was represented by his wife, Marianne, at the ceremony.
