This time around it took Coburn a little longer to score. Bridgeport loaded the bases after giving up back-to-back base hits to Nicoletto and Burket. Mayfield, who reached base on a hit-by-pitch, drove in Coburn to push the Tars' lead to 5-1.

Nicoletto scored his second run of the game on a Corbett RBI single. Burket then came around to score on Cam Brown's second hit of the day.

Rollins tacked on another run in the fourth before Bridgeport scored two in the seventh to cut the Tars' lead to 8-3.
