Biography

2015 (Senior): Daktronics All-South Region Second Team...In his second season at Rollins, Coburn batted a career-high .341 in 48 games played…he led the team with 40 runs, 62 hits, 10 doubles, 81 total bases, 24 walks, a .434 on-base percentage and finished second in Division II with 41 stolen bases....Had an 11-game hitting streak and played second base, center field and left field. Coburn had the most stolen bases in a season since Shawn Pender (1984) set the record with 62....Coburn''s 60 career stolen bases at Rollins ties him for sixth on the Rollins all-time record book...Spring Athletic Director''s Honor Roll.

2014 (Junior): Second Team All-SSC…in his first season at Rollins, Coburn batted .291 in 39 games played…he led the team in multiple statistical categories, including hits (44), runs (31), triples (2), home runs (1), walks drawn (18) and stolen bases (19)…finished third on the team with five doubles and fourth in RBI (12)…his 19 stolen bases is best for 91st in the nation…notched multiple career-highs in his first season, including eight at-bats in the Tars’ 8-7, 15-inning loss against Saint Leo (4/11)…matched a career-high four hits against SLU in that same game…matched another career-high with three runs on two occasions – Sciences (3/6) and Bridgeport (4/24)…opened the season 3-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base against Young Harris (2/1)…transitioned into the outfield after 11 games into the season…recorded 14 multi-hit and three multi-RBI games…longest hit streak of the season was 10 games…set a career-high three stolen bases against Saint Rose (3/1)…one of five Tars to hit one home run in 2014 – Florida Southern (4/18)…ended the season with a .378 on base percentage and .371 slugging percentage...Spring Athletic Director''s Honor Roll.

Prior to Rollins – College of Central Florida: First Team All-Conference with a .343 batting average, 13 doubles and five triples.

 High School: Four-year letter winner at West Orange High School, where he graduated in the Top 20 percent of his class…helped the Warriors capture the district title in 2010 and were also metro champs from 2007-09...played for the Chet Lemon’s Juice (2008-10) and the Orlando Scorpions (2007)

Personal: Born Christian Andre-Alexander Coburn, Sept. 5, 1991 in Miami, Fla. to Liza and Charles Coburn…two brothers, Angel and Gabriel…brother Angel runs track at George Mason University…father Charles ran track at the University of South Carolina while mother Liza ran track at Sagrado Corazon…majoring in business.
