Biography

2014-15: Played in 27 games for the Tars, starting 13 and averaging 25.3 minutes a game … Was third on the team and 24th in the SSC in scoring averaging 10 points a game…hauled in 3.0 rebounds a night… Was 13th in the SSC in field goal percentage shooting 50.3 percent… Also was 15th in the SSC in three-point percentage going 37.9 percent from beyond the arc…scored in double-figures 14 times…Scored 16 in season opener against Clark Atlanta (Nov. 14)…Tied his career high 23 points against eventual national champion Florida Southern (Jan 28), shooting 8-of-11 from the field and 5-of-7 from 3-point range…Filled the stat sheet against Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 4) with 12  points, eight rebounds and five assists…Netted 16 points against Eckerd (Feb. 14) and 17 at Nova Southeastern (Feb. 18) in back-to-back Tars wins…Also had eight rebounds, six assists and five steals against NSU.  

2013-14: Played in 17 games for the Tars and was sidelined by injury for a bulk of the second half of the year…Averaged 2.6 points while racking up 10 rebounds, 10 assists, one block and three steals…Scored first points as a Tar by hitting two free throws against Washburn in Las Vegas (Nov. 8)…Scored six points by going 2-for-3 from 3-point range against Puerto Rico Mayaguez (Nov. 26)…Played 20 minutes and set then career-high with eight points…Scored career-high 12 points and pulled down two rebounds in 19 minutes at Eckerd (Feb. 8)…Returned from injury to score three points in Tars Sunshine State Conference Tournament game against Nova Southeastern (March 4).

2012-13 (Shenandoah University): Played and started all 26 games for the Hornets…finished third on the team with 9.8 points a game and was third with three 3.0 rebounds a night…also totaled 20 assists and 26 steals…Shot 37 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range and was 20-of-35 at the stripe…Scored in double-digits 11 times…scored a career-high 23 points against Randolph-Macon (Feb. 13)…scored 17 points in back-to-back games against Frostburg State (Nov. 26) and Marymount (Nov. 28)…Recorded career-best six rebounds against Eastern Mennonite (Jan. 30)…named to the BB&T Tip-off Classic All-Tournament team.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Timber Creek High School in Orlando…won team leadership award...led Wolves to FHSAA Tournament run as a senior.

Personal: Son of Kathleen Almulla…brother to Nasser and Jeane…majoring in Communications.
