DAYTONA, Fla. (September 23, 2026) - Men's soccer served Embry-Riddle a dash of revenge on Wednesday, defeating the Eagles 1-0 in a SSC matchup. The win moves Rollins to 4-2-1, 2-1 SSC while the Eagles suffer their first loss of the year to fall to 5-1-2, 1-1-1 SSC.
Keeper
Kilian Vallant was put to the test early with a pair of shots on target, but the reigning SSC Defensive Player of the Week was able to stop both attempts.
In the twelfth minute,
Finlay Prain did what he does best. A long clearance from Vallant ended up past midfield. After a big bounce, Prain won the ball over a pair of defenders, and turned on the jets. He was a step ahead of the defense and ripped a strong left-footed strike into the right corner of the net for the only goal of the game.
Despite the small score, both teams were extremely active on offense. Rollins put up 15 shots with four on target, while the Eagles launched 18 at the net with six on point. Vallant recorded five saves in the first half and six overall for the game. It was his second consecutive clean sheet.
Earlier this year, Embry-Riddle defeated Rollins 2-1 in a non-SSC matchup in Winter Park. That game was wild one, featuring twelve cards between the two teams. This one was much tamer, with only two total cards being issued.
Rollins will faceoff against Lynn on the road on Wednesday, September 30th. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm frmo Boca Raton.
