LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Rollins volleyball team has once again been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Tars were one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs across the country to receive the honor after posting a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30. Rollins compiled a 3.51 GPA during the fall semester before raising that mark to an impressive 3.61 GPA in the spring.
The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball programs that demonstrate a sustained commitment to academic excellence throughout the school year. In addition to honoring qualifying teams, the AVCA also recognized Team Academic Champions in each collegiate division and celebrated programs ranking among the top 20 percent academically within their respective divisions through its Team Academic Honor Roll.
The award reflects the continued commitment of the Rollins volleyball program to achieving success both in competition and in the classroom.
