WINTER PARK, Fla. – Rollins volleyball fell to Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday afternoon in straight sets (15–25, 24–26, 20–25).
Before the match, the Tars honored seniors
Makayla Moran and
Marta Tsaneva for their leadership, impact, and dedication to the program. Beyond serving as captains, the pair has anchored the Tars statistically all season, combining to lead the team in points per set, hitting percentage, and blocks per set. Both were also named to the Concord Classic All-Tournament Team and Moran to the Ice Block Classic Challenge All-Tournament Team.
A block from Moran opened the scoring for Rollins, helping the Tars take the first two points of the match. PBA answered quickly, stringing together four straight to flip the lead and eventually using a 10–1 run to close out the set. Rollins went point-for-point with the Sailfish to begin the second, highlighted by back-to-back kills from
Rylee Yarborough, who later added a service ace to give the Tars a 12–11 edge. A kill from
Cameron Grange extended the lead, but the Sailfish rallied, leveling the frame and capitalizing on a late surge to claim the 2–0 lead.
The third set continued the tight exchanges. A block from
Vivian Scuteri and Tsaneva tied the frame at 5–5, with Tsaneva keeping Rollins level through several more ties. Another joint block from Scuteri and Tsaneva evened things again before a mid-set PBA run created separation the Tars couldn't recover from, giving the Sailfish the sweep.
Grange led Rollins with 11 kills, while
Robinson Repass followed with eight on an impressive .462 hitting percentage. Both honored seniors made their mark—Tsaneva finished with six kills, and Moran added two kills along with three total blocks. Scuteri contributed three blocks as well, while libero
Sarah Seabrooke anchored the defense with 10 digs.
Rollins wraps up its season at 16–17 overall and 5–15 in SSC play, while Palm Beach Atlantic improves to 22–9 (12–8 SSC). Stay up to date with Rollins Volleyball at RollinsSports.com and @RollinsSports on social media.
