INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 4, 2026) – The NCAA released their selections for the 2026 men's tennis tournament on Monday night. Rollins was chosen as the third seed in the South region, where the Tars will head to Pensacola, Florida to take on sixth seed, Florida Southern. The match will take place on Monday, May 11
th.
The NCAA places teams across the country into 16 preliminary-round tournaments before reseeding selections for the championship bracket. Also representing the South Region in Rollins' preliminary bracket are the hosts, West Florida and seventh seed, West Alabama. The winners of the opening regional rounds will then square off on Tuesday, May 12
th, battling for a berth in Surprise, Arizona for championship competition.
This marks the third time in five years under head coach
Jay Friedman that the Tars are dancing in the NCAA Tournament. All time, Rollins has punched their ticket 52 times in the program's illustrious history. This includes a stretch where Rollins made an appearance for a remarkable 27 straight years. Now, the 2026 group will have a chance to add another historic chapter in the Tars men's tennis record book.
Rollins and Florida Southern have met 45 times head-to-head with the Tars having the upper hand in the matchup – 30 to 15. This will be the 15
th time the conference foes have met on a neutral court, but only once have the schools met in the NCAA Tournament prior to this season.

Jay Friedman put it simply to one writer on the scene at the team's selection show gathering, "Looking forward to it. We got a good group. Let's make it to Surprise."
