ST. LOUIS, Mo. (March 14, 2026) – Rollins men's lacrosse earned a statement victory on Saturday, rallying past No. 5 Lewis in overtime for a 10-9 win.
Lewis controlled much of the opening quarter, stringing together defensive stops and converting on the offensive end to build a 4-0 lead. The Tars finally broke through with less than a minute remaining in the period, as
Zachary Blinkoff finished a pass from
William Kubie to cut the deficit to three heading into the second.
The Flyers struck first in the second quarter, pushing the lead to five before Rollins began to chip away.
Chad Bulera got the rally started, converting a feed from
Nate Paulo.
Brady Greco followed with a faceoff win, and Jack Woynarski scooped up the ground ball to set up
Aaron Williams for another Rollins goal, prompting a Lewis timeout. The Tars kept the momentum rolling, as
Logan McHugh added another before Greco secured yet another faceoff victory that led to Brody Nelson finding the back of the net off an assist from Blinkoff. The late surge trimmed the deficit to one, sending Rollins into halftime trailing 6-5.
Rollins carried that momentum into the second half, with Paulo netting the equalizer early in the third quarter. Lewis responded to briefly reclaim the lead, but Paulo answered again, finishing a pass from Williams to even the score. The Tars then took their first lead of the afternoon as Paulo completed his hat trick with a man-up goal off a pass from Nelson, giving Rollins an 8-7 edge heading into the final quarter.
Lewis evened things up at eight early in the fourth before
Logan Myers restored the Rollins lead on a feed from
Charlie Metz. The Flyers responded once again a few minutes later to tie the game at 9-9. Neither side could break through over the final seven minutes of regulation as both defenses held firm, sending the contest into overtime.
Greco opened the extra period with another faceoff win to give Rollins the first possession. After a missed opportunity, Lewis briefly regained the ball before Blinkoff forced a turnover.
Owen Lammy scooped up the ground ball and quickly pushed the transition the other way, setting up Paulo to find Bulera for the game-winning goal and sealing the 10-9 victory for the Tars.
Rollins improves to 3-3 on the season and will return to action on Monday, March 16, when the Tars take on Maryville at 4 p.m. EST.
