WINTER PARK, Fla. – The 2026 Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll was released Monday, with Rollins earning a tie for second in the league standings.
The Tars posted a 10–8 record a season ago and remained ranked or receiving votes for nearly the entirety of the year. That campaign featured victories over several nationally ranked opponents, including No. 20 Anderson, No. 20 Westminster, No. 15 Saint Leo, No. 18 Embry-Riddle, and No. 18 Lynn, culminating in an appearance in the SSC Tournament Championship.
Rollins returns a strong core while welcoming a talented group of newcomers for the 2026 slate. Midfielders
Aaron Williams,
Charlie Metz, and
Craig Wexelblatt all return for the Blue and Gold, with Williams totaling 29 points last season, Metz collecting 35 ground balls, and Wexelblatt forcing 25 caused turnovers.
The Tars open the 2026 season on Sunday, February 1, hosting Florida Southern at Cahall-Sandspur Field in Winter Park. Opening faceoff is scheduled for noon.
