GILBERT, Az. (January 15, 2026) -The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the Division II Men's Tennis Team Rankings preseason poll on Wednesday afternoon with Rollins College landing at #25. The poll is voted on by eight coaches across America taking part on the ITA National Ranking Committee.
The Tars spot in the poll marks the third consecutive season that Coach
Jay Friedman's squad was ranked among the nation's best entering Spring competition. Coach Friedman remarked, "It's nice to be within striking distance at the start, we have some work to do but I am very interested to see what our young team can do with it this season."Â
The Sunshine State Conference flexed its muscle in the preseason poll, seeing five teams, including the Tars, make the cut. Barry University nabbed the top spot, while St. Leo came in at #12, Florida Southern ranked #14, and Embry-Riddle tied for the 15th most votes. SSC foe Lynn University also received votes.Â
The first chance for the men to begin the climb to the top will take place Sunday, February 1st at 2:00pm as the St. Thomas University (Fla.) Bobcats pay a visit to Winter Park. Be sure to come out and support from the brand new Tennis & Golf Center!
