Announcing the Rollins Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Five former student-athletes and one coach will be enshrined on March 26

The Rollins athletic department is excited to announce the Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026, as voted on by the Hall of Fame committee. This year's ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 26 at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park.

This year's group includes world champions, program record holders, and national champions. A total of six former Tars will be enshrined at the event in March.

Josh Briant '18 – Waterski

Briant was a key piece to the success of the Rollins waterski team during his time in Winter Park. The Tars finished Top 5 in the National Championship every year that he skied with the team. In both 2015 and 2016, Briant captured the gold medal for men's tricks. In addition, he captured the overall silver medal on the men's side in 2015, factoring in his efforts on slalom and jump.

Beyond Rollins, Briant enjoyed a very successful professional career. His trophy case includes the Moomba Masters, Australian National Championship, and a gold medal at the Junior Worlds.

Erika Lang '18 – Waterski

Lang is another in the long storied success of Rollins waterski. Her time in Winter Park was filled with success, including a record-setting trick run (6,110 points) at the National Championship. She captured gold in women's tricks on three separate occasions at the natty, the only woman to accomplish the feat.

Erika is one of the most decorated female trick skiers of all time. She has won dozens of events, and has set the world record for points multiple times throughout her career. Her resume includes three Masters tricks champion titles, and a gold medal with Team USA at the 2023 Waterski World Championship.

Charlotte (Murrell) Keeling '12 – Women' Soccer

Charlotte helped the Tars to a 55-11-10 (.790%) record in her four seasons as a defender. She is a three-time first team All-SSC selection (2009-11), a three-time All-South Region selection (2009 – 1st, 2010 – 2nd, 2011 – 1st), and also captured All-American (2nd team) and Academic All-American (3rd team) honors in 2011.

Behind Murrell's leadership, the Tars captured two Sunshine State Conference titles, one SSC Tournament title, and appeared in the NCAA tournament four times. She was also an honor roll student every year on campus.

Erica Pagliarulo '13 – Women's Lacrosse

Pagliarulo elevated the Tars' lacrosse program into a national contender. In her four years at Rollins, the team posted an overall record of 53-13 (.803%) including two appearances in the National semifinals (2012, 2013). Her name was all over the record books when she graduated, finishing with program highs of 164 goals, 197 points, and 187 draw controls.

During her time, Pagliarulo was named to the 2010 Division II All-Rookie team, the 2011, 2012, and 2013 All-South Region teams, and earned first team All-American status in 2012 and 2013.

Lee Stroever '03 – Men's Golf

Stroever was a key member of the most successful men's golf run in Rollins history. In 2001, he helped the Tars to a fourth-place finish at the National Championship, picking up an individual trophy at the Bay Medical Intercollegiate. The following year, Stroever's play was vital in their run to the National Championship. As a senior in 2003, the Tars once again found themselves in contention, finishing as National runner-up .

During that stretch, Stroever was named first team All-SSC all three years, and a first team All-American in 2001 and 2003. He was also honorable mention All-American in 2002, and claimed a pair of All-American scholar awards in 2002 and 2003. Stroever followed his passion for golf, working as a PGA professional. In 2023, he was named the South Florida PGA Professional of the Year, working out of Emerald Dunes Club.

Jim Poling – Men's Tennis

Poling's tenure as head coach from 1994-2002 was littered with accomplishments. The highlight came in 2001 when the Tars captured the National Championship under his guidance. Along the way, three Tars … Matt Porter, Goran Sterijovski, and Mark Thompson … claimed All-American honors. In fact, Poling's squads produced at least one All-American in seven of his nine years at Rollins, and a whopping 19 overall honors.

Poling was named the 2001 ITA National Coach of the Year, and also added a pair of SSC Coach of the Year awards in 2001 and 2002. He mentored three SSC players of the year, and had three additional Top 3 finishes at the National Championship (3rd in 1994, 3rd in 1995, 2nd in 1996). Following his stint at Rollins, Jim coached Army West Point tennis for more than twenty years, becoming the Knights' all-time winningest coach. Sadly, Jim passed away in 2024, and will be honored through his family at this year's ceremony.
