ORLANDO, Fla. (April 4, 2025) - Women's tennis earned their third straight victory on Thursday, defeating conference foe Palm Beach Atlantic by a score fo 6-1. The win moves the Tars to 10-5 (3-3 SSC) on the year, while the Sailfish drop to 5-12.
Things started off on a high note for Rollins as

Amina Taibi breezed through first doubles with a 6-0 win. However, Palm Beach Atlantic bounced back to capture the point with a 6-1 win on two, and the clinching win on three, 6-3.
Amina Taibi did not need much time to equalize the match as she defeated Elsa Brenner on court two, 6-1, 6-2. That was followed by a 6-1, 7-5 win for
Milla Falster on four, and an identical 6-1, 7-5 win on six for
Amina Abdulloeva. It was her tenth singles victory of the season, which leads the team.
With Rollins leading 3-1 overall, senior
Polina Vlasova earned a tough 7-5 first set win before cruising to a 6-0 result in set two to claim the match victory for Rollins. The fight on court one was a good one as
Nancy Liu outlasted Virginia Borja with a 7-5, 6-3 effort. The day wrapped up with a three-set thriller on five with
Nina Mitrofanova triumphing against Alessia Passerini 6-1, 5-7, 6-2.
"We had a lot of tough matches today in the heat," stated head coach
Tasi Purcell Batista. "The team came out firing in singles and was able to get the job done. It's always great to get a conference win for sure. We look forward to another one this weekend."
Next up for Rollins is a tough test against #6 Barry on Sunday, April 6. The two teams will clash at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs with first serve coming at 10 am.
