BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 22, 2025) – The Rollins men's lacrosse team dropped a 14-7 decision at Lynn on Saturday in the SSC opener for both squads. The Tars are now 3-6 overall, 0-1 in conference play, while the Fighting Knights go to 6-2, 1-0 in SSC games.
Jack Johnstone led the Tars with three goals while
Seth Isenhour chipped in with a pair of assists.
Maxwell Beuck (3-6) made 13 saves on 26 shots in goal for the Blue and Gold.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
- Nate Paulo opened the scoring just 1:57 into the game, but Lynn quickly came back to score three straight goals to go up 3-1.
- Johnstone netted his first goal of the day to cut the deficit to 3-2 with 2:06 left in the quarter.
Second Quarter
- Logan Myers tallied a man-up goal 27 seconds into the second quarter to tie things up at three.
- After the Fighting Knights scored the next two, Johnstone scored to make it a 5-4 game.
- Lynn scored 50 seconds later and held a 6-4 edge at the break.
Third Quarter
- After Lynn scored the first two goals in the third, Chad Bulera found the back of the net to make it an 8-5 contest.
- The home side tallied three more markers to carry an 11-5 lead into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
- Johnstone and Frankie Hapney both scored in the fourth, but the Fighting Knights put home three more goals to claim a 14-7 victory.
UP NEXT:
Rollins will return home to host No. 1 Tampa on Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. That game will also serve as Senior Day, where the Tars will honor the 2025 senior class.
