INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 13, 2025) – Evan McInerny and
Luke Dinges each swam for the Tars on Thursday at the 2025 NCAA II Championships, with McInerny earning a seventh-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley relay to provide the highlight of the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dinges began the day by swimming a 47.65 in the 100-yard butterfly prelims, which placed him 20th, narrowly missing out on advancing to the consolation final by just 0.18 seconds.
- In the 400 IM, McInerny posted a 3:50.90 in the morning prelims, which was third-fastest, putting him in the championship final.
- In the final, McInerny clocked a 3:52.33, finishing seventh to score 12 points for the team total, which now stands at 37.
- The Tars are now tied for 17th place with Ouachita Baptist, three points behind Missouri S & T.
Drury leads the men's standings through the first 20 events with 268 points, while Tampa is second (239) and Indianapolis is third (170).
Drury also leads the women's standings after day three with 262 points, followed by Nova Southeastern (254) and Colorado Mesa (174).

The NCAA Championships continue tomorrow with day four, featuring the 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, and 200-yard freestyle relay. Taiylor Tegler and
William Slowey will swim in the 100-yard breaststroke while Lauren Diehl, Dinges, and McInerny will all compete in the 200-yard butterfly.
