HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Slowey began the day by swimming a 1:46.32 in the morning prelims, which was the ninth-fastest time; he missed out on qualifying for the championship final by just 0.17 seconds.
- In the consolation final, Slowey clocked a time of 1:45.34, finishing 0.14 seconds behind the winner to earn second place in the race, 10th place in the event.
- With his 10th-place finish, Slowey earned seven points for the team total, which now stands at 25.
- The Tars are now in 15th place, two points ahead of St. Cloud State and one point behind Nova Southeastern.
Drury leads the men's standings through the first 11 events with 151 points, while Tampa is second (143) and Indianapolis is third (111).
Nova Southeastern sits atop the women's standings after day two with 170 points, followed by Drury (143) and Indianapolis (114).
