WINTER PARK, Fla. – Rollins dropped their match to Nova Southeastern inside Warden Arena on Friday night, falling 0-3 (23–25, 15–25, 20–25).
Nova opened the night with a balanced attack, but the Tars matched the Sharks swing-for-swing early behind kills from Emma Gongora, Makayla Moran, and Cameron Grange. Blocks from Moran, Grange, and Robinson Repass helped Rollins build momentum and give the Tars their largest lead of the set. Nova responded with a mid-set push, fighting off a Rollins rally to take the set.
Set two saw Nova seize early control behind a string of Rollins miscues. Grange, Tsaneva, and Gongora chipped away for the Tars, but the Sharks' offense remained consistent, hitting .346 in the frame to take the second.
Rollins opened the third with renewed energy, receiving early kills from Grange and Moran to keep pace. With Nova continuing to apply pressure from the service line and at the net, the Tars battled back with a few pairs of points, but the Sharks held on to take the match.
Grange led the Tars with 11 kills on a .242 clip, followed by eight apiece from Tsaneva and Gongora. Jenna Garza paced the offense with 18 assists, while Molly Morris added 11 of her own. Defensively, Sarah Seabrooke anchored the back row with 18 digs. At the net, Moran recorded a team-high seven blocks.
As a team, Rollins finished with 36 kills, 49 digs, and 10 total blocks, while Nova hit .197 and totaled 37 kills, 10 blocks, and seven aces.
Rollins moves to 16–16 overall and 5–14 in SSC play, with the Sharks going to 18-10 (11-8 SSC). They will return to the court tomorrow, November 22, for senior day festivities against Palm Beach Atlantic, starting at 4 PM.
