WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 15, 2024) – The Rollins volleyball team fell to visiting No. 17 Lynn on Friday night in straight sets, 25-17, 25-21, 25-13. The Tars now stand at 13-15 on the year, 4-13 in conference play, while the Fighting Knights improve to 23-3 overall, 13-3 in SSC matches.
Molly Norris led the team with 11 kills while
Jadyn Troutman tallied nine kills.
Natalie Horsley had a team-leading 26 assists to go along with eight digs, while
Adriana Lopez led the Tars with nine digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set One
- Lynn took an early 4-1 lead in the opening set, but Rollins battled back to tie it at nine.
- A 6-0 run a little while later pushed the visitors to a 21-13 lead, and the Fighting Knights held on for a 25-17 win.
Set Two
- Set two saw Lynn again take a quick lead, this time jumping out to a 6-2 edge, and once again the Tars fought back, tying the set at 11.
- The Fighting Knights maintained a slim lead throughout the rest of the frame, with Rollins keeping things close, getting within a point at 20-19, but ultimately Lynn prevailed, 25-21.
Set Three
- In the third frame, the Tars got off to a better start, leading for most of the first 20 points of the set, including a 9-7 advantage.
- From that point, the Fighting Knights closed out the match on an 18-4 run to win the frame, 25-13, clinching the 3-0 sweep.

The Tars will return to the court tomorrow as they host Palm Beach Atlantic at 4 p.m. Tomorrow's match is the final home match of the season, which will include a pre-match Senior Day ceremony.
