MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (April 1, 2023) - A top-20 matchup went the way of the #4 Barry Buccaneers as they swept the #18 Rollins Tars, 7-0. The loss drops Rollins to 13-3 on the year, and also gives them their first loss in SSC play, making them 4-1.
It was the Tars jumping out to an early advantage with a win on doubles three.

Charlie Putrino cruised past Alessio Demichelis/Tim Buttner 6-2. However, Barry took the wins on courts one and two to claim the first point of the match.
The Buccaneers then proceeded to sweep all six doubles matches as well. Barry, featuring three individuals in the Top 75, secured the win with victories on courts one, four, and six. Rollins did not go down easy in the end, though.
Luke Quaynor battled Alessandro Giuliato to a 6-3, 7-5 final score on court two. One court over on three,
Guillermo Castaneda also forced an extra set versus #30 Alejandro Palacios, but fell short at 6-2, 7-5. On singles five,
Moritz Stenzer won the first set 6-3 over David Rieme, but was taken down 6-1, 6-1 in the final two frames.
Rollins won't have much time to think about the loss as they will be back in action on Sunday when the face the #15 Lynn Fighting Knights in Boca Raton. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 PM.
