WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 8, 2023) - Rollins earned their ninth straight victory on Wednesday, upsetting the visiting #11 Ferris State Bulldogs, 4-3. The Tars now stand at 9-1 on the season.
It was Ferris State striking first in doubles play, taking wins on courts one and three to eacn the match point.

Guillermo Castaneda were the only Tars duo to win, doing so in 6-1 fashion.
The top of the singles board belonged to Rollins as
Efe Comu made light work of Erik Kovacs, 6-0, 6-1. On court two,
Luke Quaynor needed some extra time, but handled his business from court two, defeating Jan Koupil 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Rollins also got a big point from Baumann on court six, where he took down Esunge Ndumbe 6-3, 6-3. Ferris State took home the wins on four and five, leaving the match in the hands of Castaneda and opponent Yan Mader.
The first set went 7-6 in favor of Castaneda, who won the tiebreaker 10-4. Then, with everyone looking on to build a little bit of pressure, the two players matched their first effort with an identical 7-6 (4) score in favor of Castaneda, clinching the win for Rollins.
"The whole team came to battle today," remarked head coach
Jay Friedman. "The effort was huge, and we fought back after dropping a close doubles point. The whole team stuck with it, and Guillermo stepped up, playing very solid without wavering under a lot of pressure. So proud of him to perform at that level with everyone watching, and the team for being together and rallying to defend the ship."
The Tars will host Northwood University on Friday March 10. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
