MELBOURNE, Fla. (November 6, 2023) - The Sunshine State Conference announced their Players of the Week for games played October 30-November 5 on Monday afternoon. Among the chosen was Rollins freshman goalie
Lauren Mehos, who captured women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
In the Tars' lone game of the week against Saint Leo on Halloween, Mehos was perfect in goal, saving the two shots on goal that came her way, while also defending against four Lions corner kicks. It was her sixth clean sheet of the season, and locked Rollins into the #4 seed for the SSC playoffs, which begin tonight.
The award was the first of Mehos' young career. She joined the Tars this fall by way of Marietta, Georgia.
