McMurry Named to All-South Region Team

Freshman defender scored five times, including a hat trick

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 25, 2025) - The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced the All-South Region on Tuesday afternoon. Among the honorees was Rollins freshman Emma McMurry, who was selected to the second team as a defender.

McMurry's collegiate debut was something out of a Hollywood movie as she scored three goals in her first career game in a win over Clayton State. As the year progressed, she added goals against Tiffin and Saint Leo, to finish with five, the second-most on the Tars. She also had an assist in the SSC tournament game against Florida Tech.

In addition to her offensive prowess, McMurry was a hard-nosed defender who had relentless energy. She appeared in 15 games and totaled 1241 minutes on the pitch, the seventh-most on the team.

This is the second consecutive season that women's soccer has placed a freshman defender on the All-Region team, following Amanda Caines' selections in 2024.
