NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (Jan. 30, 2023) – The Rollins women's lacrosse team will begin the season ranked No. 10 in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division II Preseason Poll, which was released this afternoon by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). This is the second major preseason poll to list the Tars at No. 10 to open the season.

East Stroudsburg, which finished as the 2022 national championship runner-up, is No. 1 in the poll, followed by Adelphi, West Chester, Florida Southern, and Grand Valley State in the top five.
FSC's ranking of fourth is the highest of six Sunshine State Conference teams listed in the poll. Tampa slots in at number seven, three spots ahead of Rollins, while Lynn comes in at No. 15, Embry-Riddle at 16th, and Saint Leo at 25th. Florida Tech sits outside the Top 25, but is listed among five schools that are receiving votes.
Rollins ended the 2022 season at 13-4, falling to Florida Southern in the conference semifinals. The Tars will open the season at Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb. 9. Rollins' first home game of 2023 will be a big one as it welcomes No. 5 Grand Valley State to Winter Park on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
