TAMPA, Fla. (May 7, 2022) – The Tars dropped their regular season finale, 3-0, on the road against the Tampa Spartans. Rollins falls to 31-10, and 22-8 in Sunshine State Conference play. The Spartans earn a share of the conference title, improving to 35-11, and 23-7 in SSC action.

Chelsea Peace and Taylor Waters each tallied a hit on the day to lead the Rollins offense.  Ashley Worrell got the start in the circle for the Tars, tossing five innings, allowing three runs, two earned, and striking out three. Emily MacMullen threw a perfect inning of relief.

Tampa was led by a 2-2 outing by Fantone. The outfielder also scored twice. Galhouse registered two RBI, while also throwing a complete game shutout for the Spartans.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Inning
- The Spartans got the leadoff runner on, before manufacturing a pair of scores with an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
Fifth Inning
- Tampa tacked an insurance run, capitalizing on an error, to expand their advantage to 3-0Â
