Tim Edwards and Jose Fernandez qualified second in the pairs event with a time of 7:13.95.  The duo finished behind the team from the University of Florida, but eight second clear of their next competitor.  They will face off against the top six qualifying boats in the A Final.

The Men's Novice 8 also earned a second place qualifying result, racing to a time of 6:04.91.  The crew then won their semifinal heat, posting a time of 6:20.19, just besting Purdue by less than three seconds to help secure their place in the A Final.  The win put them in the middle of the field in the grand finals tomorrow with Virginia and Purdue on either side of them

The Men's Varsity 4 advanced to tomorrow's semifinals with a 10th place finish.  Nick Villamil, Christian Sweeney, Max Pawlowski, Christian Ramos, and Erin Hughes will face a heat with Georgia Tech, Florida Tech, William and Mary, Duke, and Northwestern, as they look to secure an A Final spot of their own.
