PEMBROKE, N.C. (February 23, 2022) – The Rollins baseball team finds itself listed in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 for the first time in three years, checking in at No. 22 in the latest poll released Wednesday. This marks the first time the Tars have been nationally ranked since Week 2 of the 2019 regular season.

Wingate remains atop the poll with 471 points and 16 first-place votes, while Tampa is second with 457 points and the remaining three first-place votes. West Texas A&M (430 points), Southern Arkansas (410), and Point Loma (388) round out the top five.
Among SSC teams, Tampa leads the way at No. 2, while Nova Southeastern sits at No. 7, with Rollins the third-highest SSC school at No. 22. Florida Tech is listed among other schools receiving votes outside the Top 25.
The Tars have started the season with 7-2 record, including three-game sweeps of then-No. 10 West Florida and Embry-Riddle. Rollins is also the only school to defeat Florida Tech thus far, as the Panthers have won 10 straight since that season-opening loss to the Tars.
Rollins is on the road this weekend, traveling to St. Augustine to take on Flagler in a two-game series beginning on Friday, Feb. 25. First pitch for that game is set for 5 p.m.
