The Mocs started the game with a pair of scores.  The Tars got on the board courtesy of a Grant Long tally.  Bailey Pringle then recorded a natural hat-trick to put the Tars in front.  The Medford Lakes, New Jersey product capped the four goal run with a textbook behind the back effort.  The Mocs regrouped and found the back of the net four times in the final three minutes of the period, and Florida Southern took a 6-4 lead into the first break.

Rollins stopped the Moc's run early in the second quarter, when Brandon Carlin beat his defender down the ally and put a shot behind Freestone.  Blake Buell equalized the game at 6-6.  Connor Coltharp registered the go ahead goal; the sophomore scooped up the garbage after a Florida Southern save put the ball in the back of the net.  Marshall Ellison netted his first score of the season, giving Rollins an 8-6 lead.  The Mocs would register their lone second quarter tally late, to make the score 8-7 as the halftime whistle sounded.

Out of the half both defenses upped their intensity, and while the only one score was added to the board, the quarter was played at a frenetic pace.  The ball went up and down the field until Buell beat the keeper at the three and a half minute mark, extending Rollins advantage to 9-7.

The Mocs would score the first two goals of the fourth quarter to knot the contest at 9-9.  Grant Long sent a shot high past Freestone to regain the Rollins lead.  Florida Southern would pull even again, and the score sat at 10-10 with less than seven minutes remaining.  Finn Jent stung a corner to spark a three goal Rollins run, putting the game away.  Pringles fourth and Buell's third made the score 13-10.  Florida Southern tallied two goals in the final minutes, but the Tars made a defensive stand in the final seconds to secure the win.
