  • Tuesday, November 2, 7:00 pm at Nova Southeastern | Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars sit in 6th place in the SSC standings and face the #4 seed Nova Southeastern Sharks on Tuesday. A win guarantees a berth in the SSC tournament for the Tars; a loss, coupled with a Florida Southern win at Saint Leo, would end the Tars season.

  • Rollins (7-5-2, 4-4-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars senior night was spoiled last week in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Barry Buccaneers. With the season on the line, Rollins will look for Georgios Koliniatis (8 goals, 5th most in the SSC) or Nazar Tsaruk (5 goals) to find the net in this one. Senior goalkeeper Maximillian Obermeier ranks 7th in the conference in goals against (1.41) and has the 4th most saves on the year (39). He will need to bring his A-game against a Sharks squad that has taken the most shot on goal in the conference, and ranks second in scoring average (2.00).

  • Nova Southastern (9-3-2, 5-3-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Sharks haven't seen a loss since October 9th at #23 Tampa. Nova is 4-0-1 since that date, including a wild 4-4 tie with Saint Leo last week. The Sharks are aggressive on the attack, firing 17 shots per game, with 43% on goal. Theyhave six players with multiple goalsthis season, led by Maty Cornish's eight. Alberto Ciroi has manned the net in each match thus far, posting three shutouts and a 1.24 GAA (5th best in SSC).
  • SCHEDULE
  • Tuesday, November 2, 7:00 pm vs. Nova Southeastern | Winter Park, Fla.
  • Friday, November 5, 7:00 pm vs. Florida Southern | Senior Night | Winter Park, Fla.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars are ranked 4th in the SSC, with a multitude of possibilities regarding postseason play. A pair of wins this week, along with a loss by Palm Beach Atlantic against Barry, will give the Tars the #2 seed and a first-round bye. Any sort of stumble will send them down the rankings where they could finish as low as sixth, and have to travel for a first round matchup in the playoffs.

  • Rollins (6-5-3, 4-1-3 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • It's been almost three weeks since Rollins has won a match, but they have stayed alive in the playoff hunt with three ties in their last four games. They rank in the middle of the SSC pack with 1.7 goals per game, but have put forth a fantastic effort on defense, allowing less than a goal per to their opponents. Tayla Duffy is third in the SSC in shots (45) and ranks 5th in goals scored (5). Rollins will also look for Chynna McGirt and Briyah Drayton to be aggressive on the attack. Noel Miller has been a wall in front of the net, ranking 2nd in the SSC in GAA (.686) and a .821 save percentage.

  • Nova Southastern (9-3-2, 5-3-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Sharks are stumbling down the stretch, losers in two of their last three. A win on Tuesday would push them to the #4 seed, making them the hosts of a first-round game in the SSC tournament. The Sharks are finding the net 1.78 times per game, the 4th best mark in the league. Louise Matsgard and Dani Correa are tied for the team lead with five goals each. Nova runs a two-headed defense in the net with Shannon Hearty posting a 1.17 GAA in six matches, while teammate Natalie Robayna has allowed only nine goals in seven matches.

  • Florida Southern (9-3-2, 5-3-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Mocs are not in playoff contention, so their only goal is to play spoiler against the rival Tars. Southern hasn't secured a win since October 2nd vs. Lynn. During the stretch since, they are 0-4-2. They are scoring 1.5 goals per game while allowing 1.14. Caitlyn Lowery has been the bright spot on offense, netting seven strikes on 22 SOG. Jenny Staten has saved 73 shots at a .830 clip, both good for 2nd best in the SSC.
