Tars on Top Against Lynn

WINTER PARK, FLA.(January 18, 2020)- Rollins men's swimming earned a second dual meet win of the weekend, beating Lynn 188-71 on senior day Saturday.  

The Tars were off to a great start winning the 400 yard medley relay as Elliot Wylie, Connor Xu, Asa Marvel and Christian Huber stopped the clock at 3:31.91. 

Alex Norcini enjoyed a huge day in the pool taking three first place individual wins. The junior won the 200 freestyle (1:44.27), 200 backstroke (1:54.88) and the 500 freestyle (4:41.46). Teammate Connor Xu finished runner-up in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:51.87. Xu added victories in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.59) and the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.39. Christian Huber finished first in the 50 yard freestyle (21.53) and was runner-up in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46.76.

Cameron Dolly posted a victory in the 100 yard freestyle (48.15). Chase Benton took first in the 100 yard butterfly (52.49). Andrew Reliham finished third in the 100 yard butterfly (56.10) and second in the 100 yard freestyle (48.76). Cruse Sweeney finished second in the 50 yard freestyle (21.56). 

Asa Marvel took first in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.22. Dan Sulkowski finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (59.74). Brandon Nord with the runner-up finish in the 100 yard butterfly (54.36). Eric Jaffe finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.60. Senior Luiggi Reno with the second place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:12.07). 

Elliot Wylie finished third in the 100 yard backstroke (55.36) and 200 backstroke with a time of 1:59.86. Harrison Robertson finished second place in the 200 yard backstroke (1:59.49). Senior Luke Waite finished third in both the 200 yard freestyle (1:48.03) and 500 yard freestyle (4:56.52). Daniel Liew took second in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.80. 

To end the final home meet of the season, Sweeney, Sulkowski, Marvel and Huber won the the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:25.81.

Rollins will be back on the road Friday January 24 against Saint Leo to close the dual meet season.
