WINTER PARK, Fla. (January 18, 2020) – Down by 13 late, Rollins made it a two possession game in the final minutes, but couldn't come all the way back, falling to Eckerd 75-65 in Sunshine State Conference action.

Hutton Yenor was the high scorer for the Tars (9-8, 3-6 SSC) with 19 points. The sophomore went 6-of-11 from the field while hitting three from deep. Jakobi Bonner netted 17 and Brooks Cluxton tallied 12 points and six rebounds. Trevor Recio turned in a solid night with 11 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Rollins shot 44 percent and forced three more turnovers than they committed (15-12), but Eckerd was hot all game, shooting 59 percent from the field.

Travis Bianco led the way for EC (7-10, 3-6 SSC) with 23 points and six rebounds. Admir Radoncic added 21 points and nine boards.

The teams played close to start with a Cluxton layup tying the score at 24 after 12 minutes of play. He later connected on a pair at the line to put the Tars on top 28-27, but that was followed by a more than five-minute scoreless streak. Eckerd built a 35-28 lead over the span before Yenor hit from deep with 43 seconds left and send the game to half with the Tars trailing 35-31.

Rollins went down 10 early in the second, but clawed back to within 44-41 with 14:19 to play. Eckerd then slowly started to pull away and went up 67-54 with just under three minutes on the clock.

The Tars chipped away in the final minutes and used its press to make it a two-possession game, closing to 71-65 with 23 ticks left. The Tritons then broke Rollins' pressure and scored two quick buckets down the stretch to hand the Tars a 10-point loss.
