TAMPA, Fla. (October 26, 2019) – Coming off a win at Florida Southern last week, Rollins traveled to Tampa Saturday, but were turned back by the Spartans. 114.5-85.5.
Rollins relay teams both had good swims to highlight the day. The 200-yard freestyle quartet of Hannah Brockman, Sam Shelly, Anna Van Zyverden and Maya Thompson won in a time of 1:39.74. Brockman joined Beatriz Olivieri, Maia Russell and Marisa Gingerich to finish second in the 400-yard medley in 4:06.55.
Oliveri won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:08.77.
Thompson added a pair of second place finishes. The junior tied for runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle (24.78) and stopped the clock at 53.67 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Gingerich was second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:10.84 and Jill Hughes took runner-up in the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:44.74.
