Rollins Gets Bit by The Lions

WINTER PARK, FLA. (November 1, 2019)-Rollins started out strong with their busy weekend In the pool by picking up two individual wins, but ultimately fell to Saint Leo 149-113.

Beatriz Olivieri won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.75. Olivieri also joined teammates Marisa Gingerich, Maia Russell and Maya Thompson to finish runner-up in the 200-yard medley relay (1:52.26).

Marisa Gingerich clinched the win in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.17) to go along with a runner-up in the 50-yard backstroke (28.65). 

In the 50-yard breaststroke, Darrelle Pawley took second with a time of 33.11.

Maya Thompson hung up a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle (24.88) and third place in the 100-yard freestyle (55.33). 

Jill Hughes took second in the 500-yard freestyle, stopping the clock in 5:10.93.

To cap the day, Rollins won the 200-yard freestyle relay. Hannah Brockman, Anna Van Zyverden, Sam Shelly, and Thompson clocked a time of 1:39.38.

Rollins does not get a day off before traveling to Boca Raton, Fla to compete against Lynn Saturday Nov. 2 at 12:00 p.m.
