SET-UP:
After opening up their 2017 campaign with a Sunshine State Conference victory over the University of Tampa Spartans, the Tars were set to take on Molloy College four days later. After snow canceled Molloy's trip to the Sunshine State, Rollins set its sights on their next task - a Top-10 showdown against No. 5 Lindenwood University on Sunday, February 19. After 11 days to prepare, the sixth-ranked Rollins women's lacrosse team is primed and ready for a South Region showdown against rival Lindenwood. The showdown will mark the fourth time the two teams will have met in competition, with Rollins leading the overall series 2-1. The Lions, who concluded 2016 ranked fourth on the IWLCA DII National Poll, closed out their campaign with a record of 17-3, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Semifinal round where they fell to eventual 2016 National Champion Florida Southern by a score of 15-11 on May 19. The 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions last matched up with the Tars on March 29, 2016, where Rollins earned a 12-11 victory over the Lions in Winter Park. Lindenwood makes the trip to Winter Park once again with a record of 1-0 after defeating Florida Tech in their season opener with a 15-12 comeback victory over the Panthers on Friday afternoon. The Lady Lions trailed 8-5 at halftime, but outscored FIT 10-3 in the second half to earn the win.

TRACKING THE TARS:
Leading the way after one game is freshman midfielder Hannah Ashton, whose four goals and one assist led the Tars in their first outing. Behind Ashton's team-leading five points, Kallie German has tallied three goals and one assist for four points. Brittany Eveler, Hannah Coakley, and Maggie Dougherty have earned three goals apiece, with Coakley adding one assist to match German in points with four. Also earning four points so far this season is Megan Cury, with two goals and a team high two assists. Paige Brock and Lily Rizk have also earned two goals so far this season. Kaitlin Prince and Elle Euland have each tallied one goal, while Meg Bespolka and Maddie Hendren have dished out one assist each. Dougherty leads the team in ground balls with six, while Paige Brock has won a team high seven draw controls. Defensively, Dougherty holds onto a team high four caused turnovers after one game. In goal, Sarah Neely earned the start against Tampa, making five saves on 13 shots faced while allowing six goals in 46 minutes of play. Malorie Olin faced one shot from the Spartans, earning one save in 14 minutes between the pipes.

TRACKING THE LIONS:
Lindenwood is led in scoring by Maria Johnson and Rachel Benzing, who have earned five points with two goals and three assists each. Morgan Judd and Allison Hurley have scored a team high four goals apiece, while Sophie Buelow matches Judd in points with three goals and one assist. Shannon Modl, Carly Fedorowski, Hurley, and Benzing hold onto a team high three ground balls, while Jenna Battaglini, Modl, and Judd have caused a team high two turnovers apiece. Johnson leads the team with eight draw controls so far this season. In goal, Rachel Ortell played a full 60 minutes against Florida Tech, allowing 12 goals while earning eight saves.
