WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 17, 2016) - Rollins controlled the game, almost from the opening whistle, and came away with their fourth straight win, defeating Southeastern by a score of 3-0. The Tars now sit at 4-1-0 on the year, while the Fire, of the NAIA, stand at 3-4.

Rollins got a goal before the two minute mark when a Fritz Engel long ball was headed over an on rushing Fire keeper by Ben Grant. Grant picked up his team leading third assist of the season on the second Rollins goal, a rocket from Tosan Popo. Team captain, Jordan Cole, put the game out of reach for good in the 85th minute, burying a penalty kick. Drew Trautmann played the full 90 minutes in net for Rollins, holding the shutout with three saves.

The Southeastern offense showed flashes, but failed to maintain constant pressure on the Rollins defense. Tauan Salgado managed two shots, putting both on target, while Gerritson Craane led the team with three shots, but only forced one save from the Rollins keeper. Colby Turner saw a lot of action in net for the Fire, making eight saves while surrendering the three goals.

Notes

· The Tars were able to hold the ball in their offensive half of the field much of the game, and therefore outshot Southeastern 32-6.

· Popo's goal was his team leading third of the year.

· Engel's long assist on the first Rollins goal was his first point of the 2016 campaign, and his first assist as a Tar.
