LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 13, 2016) - The Rollins
softball team moves into the NFCA Division II Softball Poll for the
first time this season, checking in at No. 17. The Tars are coming
off a series sweep of Lynn University and are currently 33-7-1
overall with a 13-2 record in the SSC.
Indianapolis (38-1) holds onto the top spots in the rankings for
the third consecutive week. West Texas A&M (44-2) remains at
No. 2 while Humboldt State (35-3-1) rounds out the top three.
The only other representative from the Sunshine State Conference
is Saint Leo (34-1), which has the Lions sitting at No. 4. Rollins
welcomes Saint Leo to Winter Park for a three-game series on April
22-23, 2016.
The NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division
II head coaches, two representing each of the eight NCAA regions.
